Texas Jewish Arts Association (TJAA) Call for Art for a 4-month Curated Exhibition at Dallas Love Field Airport (DAL). Both 2-D and 3-D artwork accepted. The exhibition spaces are glass cases in public areas.

SHOW INFORMATION:
- September 1, 2021 to December 30, 2021
- Submission Deadline: August 10, 2021
- Selection Notification: By August 25, 2021, midnight CDT
- Delivery of Artwork: Sunday, August 29 (9:30 am - 4:30 pm)

- Load-in by Show Committee: August 30
- Load-out by Show Committee: December 30
- Pick-up of Artwork from Nan Phillips’ home: Sunday January 2, 2022 (10 am - 3 pm)
- Show Reception: September 12, 2021 from 3 -5 pm - Dallas Love Field Airport, Flight Deck Conference Center
REQUIREMENTS AND SHOW DETAILS:

- Entry fee $30.00 per two pieces paid to TJAA.

- Artwork will be curated and chosen to fit the available exhibition space
- Artwork cannot display any nudity or profanity
- Artwork may be of a Judaic religious or symbolic nature, but it is not required
- There is no theme for the artwork
- DAL and/or TJAA reserve the right to refuse any work
- It is the responsibility of the artist to have their work delivered to Nan Phillips’ residence at 395 Sandhill Dr., Richardson, TX 75080 and picked up from the same location at the posted dates and times
- Artwork may be 2D or 3D:
- 2-D ARTWORK REQUIREMENTS:
- All 2 D artwork needs to be framed if less than ¾” deep
- All 2 D artwork must have D rings and be wired.
- Maximum weight for wall-hung work: 30 lbs
- 3-D ARTWORK REQUIREMENTS:
- Thirteen shelving cases with lighting are available for display of Artwork
- 3-D artwork must fit within the shelving dimensions: 48” W x 72” H x 36” D
- 3D sculpture weight limit: 30 lbs.
SHOW SALES:
- All artwork may be for sale, but is not required to be for sale
- All exhibition cases will contain TJAA’s logo and contact information
- DAL will direct all artwork inquiries to TJAA
- TJAA representative will forward artwork inquiries to artist as they are received
- All artwork sales will be conducted solely between artist and purchaser
- All artwork MUST remain in the Exhibition until the load-out date
- If purchaser has a significant reason that possession of the artwork cannot wait until the end of the Exhibition period, contact Exhibition Chair, Kim Kort - k[email protected]. This does not guarantee that artwork will be released early.
- DAL will not accept any payment for artwork, nor release any artwork to the public
- Neither TJAA nor DAL will take a commission - artist retains 100% of their sale
- Artist is responsible for collecting and paying tax on the sale of their artwork
LIABILITY:
- Each artist will be responsible for liability coverage on their artwork
- All reasonable care will be exercised with artwork; however, neither TJAA nor DAL will be responsible for loss or damage
- Artists will be required to sign a waiver releasing DAL and TJAA from all liability against any damage, loss or theft of artist’s artwork
SUBMISSION:
- Each TJAA member may submit 2 works for the 4-month exhibition period
- Entry fee is $30 per two pieces of 2D and/or 3D artwork
- Artwork will be submitted through link on this page
- Artwork submitted after the Submission Deadline will not be considered
ACCEPTANCE OF ARTWORK:
- Artwork will be curated into the Exhibition based on allocation of available space
- Artist will be notified of acceptance no later than the evening of Wednesday, August 25
